Once again, about half the late night and talk shows are on vacation this week. Almost everyone should be back after the Monday holiday.
And in the meantime, this week doesn’t find too many comedians in the lineup of our usual shows. I’ll still be posting video clips daily of the funny stuff that happens, but for my weekly rundown of what you should TiVo, we have slim pickins.
Dave wants to embarrass Anne Heche by bringing up something from her past.
I know. That could be a ton of things. Anne is one kooky lady.
Fortunately for her, he just brings out a clip from her days on a soap opera where she played a set of twins. Must have been tiring to jump back and forth to either side of the camera.

Newly crowned Miss Universe (Miss Mexico) Ximena Navarrete presents the “Top Ten Ways Miss Universe Plans to Make the World a Better Place.”

First, Drew Barrymore describes the conversations she has with her pets.
Then, Dave rolls back his sleeve and shows Drew how his dog has developed a taste for human blood…
Well, the re-run holocaust that began last week continues this week. Really, the only shows that aren’t on vacation this week (and next week, for that matter) are The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and The Late Show With David Letterman, Lopez Tonight and Chelsea Lately.
Those are the only shows NOT in rerun this week.
Not a lot of comedians on Letterman, mostly Hollywood types… (Drew Barrymore, Brian Williams, Anne Heche, Katy Perry).
But there is one Daily Show appearance I can recommend, and one show is doing basically a comedian rerun week, so check out the lineup after the jump…
How did Letterman end up in bed with Will Ferrell and a bouquet of roses?

This week is Will Ferrell Week across the talk show universe. Ferrell is promoting The Other Guys, a new film that also stars Mark Wahlberg, Samuel L. Jackson and Dwayne (The Rock?) Johnson. The movie opens this Friday.
Ferrell will be on Letterman tonight (Monday), The Daily Show on Tuesday, Live With Regis and Kelly on Wednesday, Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday and Lopez Tonight on Thursday. So you can get your Ferrell fix pretty much every day this week.
Also of note this week: (more…)
