Jerry Stiller is a great comedian. One half of the great comedy duo, Stiller and Meara, he’s also the father of Ben Stiller.

But most people know him as George Costanza’s father.

For some reason, the Daily News in New York got Stiller in a car and drove him out to Astoria, Queens, to check out the real life house that was a stand-in for the Costanza house on the show. Of course, Jerry knocks on the door and rouses the elderly residents of the house.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in my own life, it’s that old people love Seinfeld more than anyone. They watch the reruns all day long and memorize every episode. So of course they recognize Jerry. Lots of cute old people bonding ensues. And actually, a lot of behind the scenes expounding on the Seinfeld show and legacy.

Want to see what the Costanza house really looks like on the inside? Lots of faux-wood paneling…
